In the race to launch the first Windows 8-based tablet, Lenovo seems to be more confident than its counterparts. Lenovo has recently cleared its intention to be the first to come up with a Windows 8-based tablet. The features of the upcoming tablet have not been discussed exhaustively, but it has been said that it will be endorsing an Intel chip and will not be based on ARM architecture.

The claim can be considered as a potential one after the launch of Lenovo IdeaPad YOGA at CES 2012, which was held earlier this year. The demonstration of Lenovo tablet, which boasts of a 13.3-inch display and flexibility of 360 degrees, showed that it is an ideal device that can work in great compatibility with Windows 8.

Though Windows 8 won’t be hitting the market before the last quarter of 2012, the excitement to launch the best and first notebook and tablet is not going to pace down for a while.

Lenovo is all set to upgrade its leading ThinkPad Tablet to the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich version in the second quarter of 2012.
What’s more? Lenovo ThinkPad Tablets with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will also provide users an enhanced browser with a considerable speed improvement. It will further enable the users to quickly access desired online content and even store it for future reading.

Voice input is another attribute that Android 4.0 will offer. The most amazing aspect about this feature is that it will enable the users to read out the text. All the dictation errors will be underlined in gray, that can be easily replaced. In addition to this, Face Unlock feature will let the users unlock their Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet running on Android 4.0 with their face.
