For installing different drivers for the hardware devices like audio card, video card, or the Ethernet card, first you would collect all the details regarding the specifications of those devices. In order to do this, you would first open 'Device manager'. Then go to the 'Properties' of 'My Computer'. Then under the 'Hardware' tab, you need to look for the Device Manager. Click that and you could see the list containing devices. There you would find the devices like audio, video card, and also the Ethernet card. When you try to expand them, you could get whole details like device name and also the name of the manufacturer.
Tips for installing drivers
In order to download the drivers, you have to enter the complete device name in the search engine and search for its drivers. It would be better to enter the manufacturer website. After opening that website, you would search the driver according to the Operating System that you are using. Then only that driver would be compatible with the system and the OS. When you get the download link, click that. Then save it to a safe place. In order to install that driver, you have to click the 'Setup file' and the option 'Run'. Then it would get installed in the system.
There are so many websites which would give the drivers for the audio, video, and the Ethernet card. But many of the websites are not genuine. These websites would contain the corrupted drivers and also the malware-infected drivers. So, it would be best to use the manufacturer website itself. Before going to install the drivers, you need to make the system free of all the viruses. If malware are present in the system, they would cause the corruption of the drivers that you have installed. You need to uninstall the old drivers for the devices. Otherwise, it would cause conflict with newly installed drivers.
