To stay connected to the world and be relieved from the complexity of the wires, the user needs a wireless connectivity. Simple guidance from expert will resolve the wireless network related problem on the Lenovo IdeaPad U350. In this article, we will be discussing about the wireless network problems in the Lenovo IdeaPad U350, with the help of the following points.

  • What Is A Wireless Network?
  • System Not Recognizing The Wireless Network
  • Driver Problem

What Is A Wireless Network?

The wireless network is set-up by using radio signal frequency, to form a network for communicating to different computers and other network devices. With the wireless network the user can connect the system to anywhere at home or the office and that too without the need of wires. A wireless network can sometime also be referred to as a Wi-Fi network or WLAN.

System Not Recognizing The Wireless Network

There are chances that the Lenovo IdeaPad U350 system might not recognize the wireless network. The reasons for this could be many, like there might be a corrupt driver, the network device might be damaged or there can be problems with the network itself. Another reason could be that the network device might have been disabled from the BOIS of the Lenovo IdeaPad U350 system. The solution to the last-mentioned problem is, to enter the BIOS (to enter the BIOS of the system press ‘F2′ after power ‘ON’ button), and check if the device is activated or not, if not, then activate the device. If the device is activated in the BIOS then, it is advised to consult the technical expert and resolve the issue.

Driver Problem

For the smooth functioning of the wireless network on the Lenovo IdeaPad U350, it is important to install the correct network device driver, which is compatible with the network device. With any sort of incompatibility between the driver and the concerned device, all sorts of problem may develop and the device may not function at all. The user can check the device/model number in the system and search for the same either on the driver pack of the CD or on the Internet. You have to download the compatible driver version, and follow the instructions, to install it on the Lenovo IdeaPad U350. After installation the user must restart the system and see if the wireless network works or not. If there is still any problem related to the network connections, the user is advised to consult the technical experts and resolve the issue.

Make sure you’ve installed the latest Wireless LAN driver. You can download the driver from http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/ot/en/driversdownloads/APR_Driver_List.aspx?CategoryID=61415&OS=0

To check the version of the operating system installed on your computer, click Start, right click ‘Computer’ and click ‘Properties’. Select it in the ‘Operating System’ drop down menu, select “Networking: Wireless LAN” in the ‘Category’ menu and click “Search”.

To check the type of adapter installed on your computer, type ‘devmgmt.msc’ in Start>Run (or the start-search field) and when you get the Device Manager, expand the ‘Network Adapter’ section.

      Hope it helped.
