CES is a perfect platform used by electronic giants to unveil their new and exclusive products. Lenovo, the Chinese electronics corporation, has made the best use of this opportunity and decided to unveil the world’s first Smart TV – K91 at the CES 2012.
After smartphone, it’s time for smart TV. Lenovo K91, the 55-inch 3D LED TV from Lenovo is powered by Android Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0). The unique aspect about this TV is that it does not use Google TV software, which was incorporated in the previous Android version 3.0 (Honeycomb).
Lenovo K91 runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8060 Dual Core processor. Its panel is full HD IPS at 240 hz with SRS TruSurround that helps users with voice command features to control the functions of the TV. Interaction via videos is possible with the 5MP integrated built-in camera. The camera helps in facial recognition. You can use various Internet apps and also Lenovo cloud support – 'personal cloud', where you can access complete entertainment content like videos and songs. You can also share files with your TV, smartphone, tablet and home PC. What’s more, you can even control your TV using smartphone and tablet.
Lenovo K91 comprises two remote controls – one traditional style and the other is gamepad. In the traditional style remote control, the voice commands are given through the microphone. Moreover, it also comprises accelerometer and a gyro sensor to enjoy the Wii-style gameplay.
Lenovo is striding confidently in the TV world with Lenovo K91; the powerhouse of entertainment, which will be available in China as of now. Lenovo will announce the plans about the launch in other countries and the price very soon.
