RESCUECOM Q2 2011 Computer Reliability Report gives Lenovo® the crown
Do you often debate with your friends about which personal computer is the most reliable? Of course you'll support the one you own! And if the debate is never ending, then this news will help you make up your mind. RESCUECOM recently published a Computer Reliability Report that places Lenovo along with IBM at the top position.
RESCUECOM is an American computer repair and support company that provides 24x7 computer repair and support to homes and businesses. The Computer Reliability Report published by them is an unbiased summary of the most reliable personal computer manufacturers in the second quarter of this year. "During these economically stressed times, when 90% of people believe we are in a bad state, it's even more important to know what products will save you money down the road. Reliability is one of the best indicators of how much your technology will cost you over the long haul,” said David Milman, CEO of RESCUECOM.
The top five brands that RESCUECOM rated the best overall in terms of reliability in the second quarter of 2011 are:
4. HP/HP Compaq
If you compare the progress of these companies in this Computer Reliability Report between the first quarter and the second quarter, then you can observe some significant changes. These changes are:
• Toshiba has become the only manufacturer, which has increased its reliability score over the first quarter.
• HP and HP Compaq have maintained the same level of reliability since the first quarter. HP's upward move from the fifth to the fourth place is due to a significant drop of ASUS' rating.
• ASUS had a big downfall as it has dropped to the fifth from the second position. It looks like ASUS has not been able to maintain the excellent customer support that it provided in 2009 and is now barely holding to its position.
• Dell was unable to be within the top five as it lags far behind in computer reliability. However, it still maintains its second place in the market share of the total number of computers sold.
So, in case you are planning to buy a new computer for yourself, you now know which brand to opt for. Lenovo is definitely ruling the roost in the market place.
