Start up issues in Lenovo® Thinkpad X100e
What are the reasons behind start up issues in Lenovo Thinkpad X100e notebook?
There can be many reasons behind the Won’t Start issues in the Lenovo Thinkpad X100e Notebook. The simplest among them is the power cable. If the power cable is not plugged correctly, and the Lenovo Thinkpad X100e system has no power back up, then the system will not start. The corruption with the operating system or with the hard drive will also not allow the Lenovo Thinkpad X100e system to start up. Some of the recently installed software or hardware could also be the reason for the Won’t Start issue to come up with your notebooks. Sometimes they might be incompatible with the system or they might start to conflict with any of the older versions. Registry problems also could cause this issue.
Following are some of the ways to resolve these issues:
- Check the power backup
- Trouble shoot the software
- Remove the DVDs if any
- Use F8 key
Check the power backup
If the power backup of the system is over then the system will not start. This might be the most common cause of this won’t start up issue. If this problem occurs, then plug in the system first. After this, try to start the system. If the problem is due to the loss of power, then it will be solved after charging.
Troubleshoot the software
If the startup problem occurs after the installation of any of the software, then the removal of that software will solve the issue. So analyze any such software issues and then remove all such software from the Lenovo Thinkpad X100e and restart the system.
If you have shut down the Lenovo Thinkpad X100e Notebook without removing the DVD from the drive, the system will refuse to startup. So remove such DVDs and CDs from the system. After this you need to restart the system.
If the system starts to boot and stops responding during startup, then restart the system by keep pressing the F8 key. Then you will get the ‘Windows Advanced Menu.’ Select the ‘Last Known Good configuration’ and press ‘Enter.’ Then the operating system will restart and the problem will be solved.
