- Weak signal strength
- Signal interference
- Slow connection
Weak signal strength
One of the most common problems that come in the wireless Internet connection of the Lenovo ThinkPad X201 is the signal strength being weak. If the signal strength is weak then it could be difficult to even access the smallest of websites using the wireless connection. The main cause for the reduction in the signal strength is due to the routers being placed at less ideal locations. To correct this problem all you need to do is move the router to a location that improves the signal intensity. If moving the router is not possible you could try moving the system to another position.
Signal interference is another wireless problem that is quite common in the Lenovo ThinkPad X201. Most of the wireless equipments of today work in frequencies that are close to the frequencies of older wireless devices like the cordless telephones, radios etc. If you use these devices near the system it is possible that there would be signal interference. To solve this problem you could refrain from using these old wireless devices.
Another common problem that you might find in the wireless Internet of the Lenovo ThinkPad X201 is slow connection. Sometimes even when you have a good strong signal the speed of the connection might be very less. The main reason for such a problem is that the drivers installed for the device might be wrong or outdated. To correct this problem all you need to do is install the correct drivers for the device.
