HDMI® Output in Lenovo® ThinkPad® X301
What is the role of HDMI Output in Lenovo ThinkPad X301 ?
The Lenovo ThinkPad X301is a well configured business laptop that does all functions that are needed. The system comes with the Intel Core 2 Duo processor that has a clock speed of 1.4 Gigahertz. The processor is built on the Mobile Intel GM 45 motherboard; it has two slots for memory expansion and could support a memory of upto 4 gigabytes. The system comes with a built in solid state drive hard disk that is used to store all the information on the system. You can choose an optional DVD burner for the optional expansion on the system. The system comes with the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator which supports all the output that is generated by the graphics card. The system also has a DisplayPort that could be used to connect to an external high definition output.
The role of HDMI output and all the issues that can occur in the HDMI cable on the system is explained in the following description:
- Role of HDMI output
- Issues that come when the HDMI is used
- Fixing the issue
Role of HDMI output
The HDMI is basically used to connect the laptop to another electronic system. The HDMI output can be used to connect the Lenovo ThinkPad X301 to a bigger high definition screen. The HDMI is the high definition multimedia interface. The Lenovo ThinkPad X301 does not have an HDMI port on the system that enables it to connect to the higher output screen. This can however be done with the help of the DisplayPort. The ThinkPad X301 DisplayPort can be connected to high definition output with the help of an adaptor. The Lenovo ThinkPad X301 cannot connect the DisplayPort via HDMI to an audio output.
Issues that come when the HDMI is used
The issues that can come up with the use of display port to connect to an HDMI cable is that, sometimes the HDMI cable may not produce the desired output on the screen. You can adjust the screen resolution in order to produce a better output on the screen. Adjusting the screen resolution may allow you to see any bit of the information that is missing. The devices need to be working well with each other in order to produce the desired output on the screen.
The quality of the cable that is used to convert the output generated through the Display port to the HDMI output should be of good quality. If cheaper cables are used to connect them this may result in a choppy and bad output generated by the Lenovo ThinkPad X301. This can be avoided by using the original cables provided by the Lenovo manufacturer .
